Men in the Window

As this semester wraps up I can't help but feel like life outside the window is slowing down too.  McDonald's seemed almost dead this week.  Every time I looked out my window it was practically a ghost town - only a few cars and customers and no entertainment to be seen!  However, one thing did catch my attention through the window this week.
Several weeks ago there was an incident at Main Street Commons where a piece of siding fell off the side of the building and hit a few Jimmy John's staff members' cars.  Obviously, they weren't too happy.  As part of the process Main Street had the entire building's siding inspected for damage and to make sure it was secure which meant having a crew come in and look it all over with a fine tooth comb.  How did that effect me, you may ask? Well, I work here so I got to deal with all of it.  But more importantly, I came out of my room and there was a man staring at me through my window.
Some of you may be used to this...but it's not a normal sight here on the 4th floor.  I tried to get their attention but these men were on a mission and couldn't be bothered in participating in my blog (voluntarily that is).  So I snapped my pictures, observed them until they craned themselves off, and then went about my day.  Looking back at it, I should have opened my window and conducted Through the Window's second interview in its history (read about the first interview here), literally through the window.

Yes, those are binoculars in the background with the men on the crane
The lengths I go through to get the McGossip for you guys.
Unfortunately, this brief encounter was all the excitement I had through my window this week and it was over all too quickly.  Quite fitting when I reflect upon not only this semester, which has flown by, but also my time here at Bradley and this apartment as well.  As all those things come to a close it feels like they've happened in a blink.  Even though day 1 feels like decades ago, I can't quite remember where all the time went as I prepare to leave this place.  Hopefully, these adventures through the window continue after this semester as I leave my beautiful birds eye view of McDonald's behind me.  To read about all the adventures this semester held, check out my other posts.  Stay tuned to see what adventures lay ahead!
